On being fat
I read an article a while ago on motivation. It said that publicly announcing your goals makes you less likely to achieve them than keeping them to yourself. I don't remember the details, but the conclusion stuck with me. Nothing Works
Warning: uninteresting rant ahead, written in the midst of a temper tantrum.
Shit don't work. I'm sick of it. I just wanted to write an entry about how shit don't work, and when I pulled my laptop out of my bag, it was burning hot and unresponsive. Apparently unplugging the power cord on my way out of the office caused it to crash -- again. ( Read more... ) -

What I do?
I can never explain my job to anyone. This probably doesn't help, but the CEO recently gave a presentation in Monaco where he sort of describes what the company does. I'm one of the cogs in the machine.

Billy Goat Tavern
When I was in Chicago for C4[2], I was able to go to the famous Billy Goat Tavern, the inspiration for the "Olympia Cafe" sketch on Saturday Night Live. Sam Sianis himself was there "taking" orders.
