Maybe my luck is changing at last..... I had the MOTHER of near misses on the way to work today... Was overtaking on a main road (the traffic was doing 40-45 on a 60 mph stretch). My day just took a turn for the crapper..... seems like the 'syncro-mesh' has gone on the car... apparantly this is bad and will require a new gearbox.... the gearbox ALONE costs £1200 + VAT and it's 4 hours labour (at around £90 + VAT per hour)....

That'll be a new car needed then.........
