I may have just finally nailed down the first chapter of a story I've been working on for almost five years. It feels really good. I kind of want to go outside and run laps. On the other hand, I kind of want to keep at this! -

Had a fairly successful NaNoWriMo this year, much more so than my last several tries. A little more than 36k words. Finished two stories and am nearly there on a third. Should probably get to work on those... -
quick check-in/quick vent of mad extreme stress & frustration

Finished cleaning the house for the second time today. Which might be overkill, but I really hate sitting around feeling like I'm not doing anything. Sometimes. A month (or so) in review.
I haven't really been communicating via LJ or documenting my thoughts here or anything lately, but in my notebook of the moment, while watching any kind of sport on TV or SPN on DVD and pretending to write. To me, there's something much more grafitying about writing on paper than typing on a keyboard. Feels more permanent, and like it took more ( Read more... ) -

I am SO happy I did the mini-marathon. Although, around mile marker 6, I was thinking more, what the fuck am I doing????? And at marker 11 I thought I might have to crawl across the finish line. I think I clocked a respectable time (3:05:57) for someone who's definitely NOT a runner, and I was proud of myself for just finishing the dang thing. ( Read more... ) -
New Pen Day is the best day of all the days.
So, nerd/office supply addiction alert: A few years ago I was in the mall with my merm (code: mom) and in the Hallmark store they had these fancy-schmancy Le Pen pens up at the counter and I got one.
