This is what writers do, yeah? Set up shop inside a Starbucks for a couple hours and pound the keys? It's not something I've tried more than a handful of times, but it is nice to escape the regular distractions around the house and force myself to get some work done. Actually lost some words on the total story word count with this little venture

Gearing up for what feels like the final read-through of this story. That's an exhilarating feeling. Being "almost done." This story started the day at 1700 words and is now at 5000, and it's existence is due 100% to NaNoWriMo. It would not exist if I weren't forcing myself to sit and write, and the fact this will now be the THIRD story I get

You ever put a string of words down as a place-holder? Like, I know this sentence is GARBAGE but when I'm rereading in a hour or a day or a week I'll remember what I really wanted to say?
I swear, if I had someone following me around telling me I had to be done (with whatever) in five minutes, I'd be the most productive person on the planet. I am GREAT under pressure. I do all of my best work under the wire, always have. There's the time junior year that I forgot I had a three-page paper on Jane Eyre due in my first class. I
