Summary: Jin just broke up with his girlfriend and found out that the reason behind it is Yamapi. His friend Ryo is always with him.. but what happens when you fall for the person who made you hurt in the first place and the one who was always there for you? Who'd you choose? (summary sucks T-T)

~~~~~~Leaning in Ryo caught a scent of Jin, he really did love Jin. He wanted to hold Jin all night but he was afraid that he’d wake Jin up so he secretly got out of bed and went over to Jin’s kitchen to grab a drink.
He opened the fridge and got a bottle of beer. He sat down by the sofa and decided to call Yamapi. He had to talk to Yamapi about Rie anyway. He had the right to know. Maybe he could even talk to Jin to help him overcome this pain.
Yamapi answered at the first ring, “Ryo? What’s up? Why are you calling so late at night?”
“I need to talk to you about Jin,” says Ryo. His voice was sturdy and determined.
Yamapi sighed and said, “He told you right?”
“Told me what?”
“He told you that I confessed to him. Really Ryo, I’m serious. I wasn’t drunk when I told him that. I really do love him.”
Ryo started to get dizzy when he heard this. “Y…you confessed to…Jin?”
Now Yamapi was confused, wasn’t this the reason why Ryo called him? “You didn’t know?”
Ryo was silent. Was this why Jin had wanted to talk to him? It sounded stupid. Sighing Ryo told Yamapi all about Rie and how Jin ended up in his place.
“Yamapi, I have one other thing to tell you. I won’t let you have Jin. I love him and I don’t want him to get hurt but I’m not giving him to you. You had your shot. Jin loved you before Rie and you blew him off! I’m not letting him get hurt again.”
Yamapi fell silent. Rie liked him? Was this why Jin had been avoiding him the whole day? Was this the reason why Jin didn’t return his confession?
“Ryo, I know that you won’t back down. Let’s at least make this a fair competition. Whoever wins his heart gets him. I don’t want out friendship to get ruined over this so let’s be sports okay?”
Ryo fisted his hands. How could Yamapi be so calm? “I can’t promise.”
He hung up the phone and headed back towards Jin’s room. He walked over to the side of the bed where Jin faced and lightly traced the side of Jin’s cheek.
He really loved how Jin looked while sleeping. He loved how Jin’s eyes were tightly shut and how his lips would move every few seconds. He loved how Jin’s hair would still suit him even though it was messed up.
Sighing Ryo stared at Jin’s faced and whispered, “Jin, I wish I could tell you but I don’t want to make it any harder on you. Should I just give you up to Yamapi? I don’t want to let you go but I want to make you happy. I wish for your happiness more than anything in this world. I’d gladly give up mine for yours.”
Ryo kissed Jin lightly on the lips. Nothing rough, just their lips meeting each other in a soft way. He was careful not to wake Jin up. He touched his lips and closed his eyes slowly falling asleep beside Jin.
The sunlight was brightly shining the next morning and Jin had woken up early. His head had ached but he was happy. There was a weird sense of happiness that he felt when he woke up. He opened his eyes and saw Ryo sleeping beside him.
He got a blanket and draped it over Ryo’s back. He also got a pillow and placed it under Ryo’s head. He got his phone and checked for messages. There was only one.
To: Jinjin
From: Pi-chan
Could you meet me today? We need to talk. I’ll be waiting at the park. I miss you <3
Jin decided not to meet Yamapi. He didn’t want to complicate his life anymore. Yamapi had already messed it up a lot.
To: Crazy person
From: Jin
Don’t wait for me. I won’t come.
He left the phone somewhere in the kitchen and decided to go wake Ryo up. Ryo had to go to work anyway. It was almost afternoon.
As soon as he got into his bed room, he stood beside Ryo and started shaking him lightly. “Ryo-chan, wake up. It’s getting late.”
Ryo mumbled something intelligible and looked at his watch. His eyes opened wide as he saw the time. “YABE! I’m going to be late!”
Jin giggled at his friend’s silliness. He pulled Ryo out of the bed room into the kitchen and gave him the lunchbox he made Ryo and told him to go to work.
“Ittekimasu!” shouted Ryo.
“Itterashai!” answered Jin.
It felt weird to say that. Ryo found blushing himself at the thought of having Jin waiting for him at home, saying ”Ittekimasu” before going out and saying “okaeri” when he got home.
Jin decided to go to the nearby supermarket before going home. He wanted to cook something nice for Ryo but he didn’t know how to cook. He called his good friend Kazuya to teach him how to cook. Kamenashi had always been known in their band for his good cooking skills.
The younger man had agreed to help Jin prepare Jin dinner for Ryo but he wanted to be the one to buy the ingredients for the dish so he told Jin to stay at the super market and wait for Kazuya.
Jin wanted to buy some other things too so before he bought the ingredients he decided to buy some beer and some chips.
Kazuya poked Jin’s side causing him to jump for the surprise, “Hi Jin!”
“Kazuya, I told you not to poke me!” pouted Jin.
He laughed at Jin and told him to pick out the ingredients that Kazuya wanted. “Ne Jin! Do you know why Yamapi is in the park?”
Jin checked his watch and sighed. It was nearly 3pm which meant that Yamapi had been there for more than 6 hours already.
After buying all the things that they needed, Jin paid for them and brought them home. Kazuya told Jin that he wanted to check up on some things first before going to Jin’s house. Jin agreed and told Kazuya that he’d meet him there.
As he set the things on the kitchen counter, Jin couldn’t help but wonder if Yamapi was still in the park. It was getting pretty late and the sky was starting to get dark and murky.
It was going to rain soon.
Kazuya had come in the house and had started helping him prepare the dinner. It was quite a task. Jin never really cooked much but he finished it quite well. He had a few cuts but he would live. He giggled thinking about how he and Ryo would spend the night.
They would probably eat the dinner, Ryo would compliment him and Jin would smile at him. He felt really happy imagining how they would watch movies together and he would share his current dilemma. Ryo would comfort him and he would smile. His imagination was really tempting. He couldn’t wait for it to become reality.
The sudden ring of his phone brought him back to reality. Ryo was calling him.
“Moshi moshi, Ryo-chan? Doushita no?” asked Jin.
“I might not be able to make it t dinner Jin. The president asked me to stay for some time. Gomenasai!”
Jin hung up the phone after that. He wasn’t mad at Ryo but he just wasted an afternoon’s worth of effort. He looked at his fingers where the band aids were. It had numerous cuts. They weren’t too deep but it was enough to hurt.
As much as it hurt admitting, Ryo stood him up. Well, he didn’t but still he didn’t show up. Sure, he had called but it still wasn’t enough. Jin wanted him to show up.
Sighing, Jin made his way to his bed. He didn’t bother cleaning up the wasted preparations in the kitchen. He would tend to them later. Now, he wanted to rest…sleep.
Kazuya passed by the same park and still he saw Yamapi there.
I wonder why he’s there.
He started to get worried. It had been at least more than 10 hours that Yamapi had been staying there. He decided to message Jin for two reasons. One, because of the way Jin had reacted earlier he seemed to know what was wrong. Two, Yamapi’s best friend was Jin and if someone could talk to him it was Jin.
To: Jin
From: Kamenashi
Jin! Just thought you’d want to know that Yamapi is still in the park.
As soon as Jin got the message he got worried. It was 11pm and it was raining quite hard. There was no way that Yamapi was still waiting right? He wouldn’t have waited for anybody.
Still he wasn’t convinced; he got his umbrella and ran off towards the park. It’s impossible right? Yamapi wouldn’t be waiting for him. It was just too good to be true.
When he got to the park, he saw Yamapi sitting on the swing, completely drenched. His eyes were tearing up as he made his way towards Yamapi.
“Why are you still here?” asked Jin.
Yamapi stood up and wrapped his arms around Jin, “I thought you wouldn’t show up anymore. I really thought that you’d leave me here alone.”
Jin sighed. He never saw Yamapi like this before. His body was freezing and he was shivering. After waiting for a whole day, he must be tired.
He decided to bring Yamapi home and help him warm up a bit. Maybe coffee and some food will help. As soon as he broke the hug Yamapi started to shiver again. His body becoming too heavy to bear, Jin started to get worried. He noticed that Yamapi couldn’t walk straight anymore.
“I’ll help you.” Jin placed one arm over Yamapi’s shoulder and helped him walk to his house.
Baka! Why did you wait for me?
It was a very tiresome way home. Yamapi had fallen down a lot of times on their way. Jin had to often carry most of Yamapi’s weight.
As soon as they entered the house, Jin placed Yamapi on the sofa and helped cover him up with some blankets. He got some medicine by the cabinet and helped him drink it.
“Ne Yamapi, can you tell me why you waited for me?” asked Jin as he got a wet cloth and started wiping off the sweat from and rain from Yamapi’s body.
“I . . . ugh. . . I wanted to apologize to you. I stayed because I didn’t want you to wait for me if . . . you showed up.”
Yamapi started shivering more and Jin had no choice but to help him get into the shower to help him bathe. He helped Yamapi change into some of his clothes and laid him back down onto the bed.
Baka Pi! You didn’t have to wait for me.
Pi started to stand up but Jin stopped him and pushed him gently back on the bed. “You’re sick. Lie down and rest.”
“Hai but I wanted to tell you something.”
Jin’s eyes started tearing up again. He felt really guilty because if he just hadn’t waited for Ryo and just met up with Yamapi then he wouldn’t be sick right now.
“I’m sorry,” whispered Yamapi.
Taken aback, Jin started to cry. Yamapi wasn’t supposed to be sorry. HE was supposed to be sorry.
“Don’t! You did nothing wrong,” answered Jin.
“I did! Ryo…he told me about Rie.” Yamapi bit his lower lip but not so hard.
Jin stumbled backwards a bit until he landed on the bed. “It’s not your fault,” whispered Jin.
Pi sat up and wrapped his arms around Jin. “I know but I feel guilty. I knew about your feelings before Rie but I never answered them. I knew that Rie liked me but I still didn’t stay away from her like I should’ve. I’m the worst kind of person out there. No wonder you don’t like me.”
The sobs that came out of Jin were much softer this time. He felt oddly comforted. “Pi, I don’t blame you for anything. I should be the one who’s sorry. You’ve waited for hours but I didn’t come.”
Yamapi smiled sheepishly at Jin. “Well, at least you came right?”
Jin nodded and smiled at Yamapi. He leaned down to wipe away the tears that were also about to fall of Yamapi’s cheek but when he touched the latter’s cheek, it felt like it was on fire.
“Pi! Lie down! You’re burning up!”
Jin rushed to get a glass of water. He set it down beside the bed and helped Yamapi to drink it. He also continued wiping the older guy’s face, arms and legs.
“Jin…don’t bother…I’m fine.”
“No! Lie down and rest!” Jin’s voice had so much power that it startled Yamapi.
Yamapi lied down and let Jin tend to his freezing body and high temperature.
“Jin, gomen. You shouldn’t be bothered to take care of me,” said the shivering Yamapi.
Jin ignored Yamapi and continued with his task. He had to feed Yamapi too.
“I’ll be right back,” said Jin but as soon as he stood up Yamapi pulled his hand back.
“Don’t leave.”
Jin looked at Yamapi once more. His words couldn’t express the guilt and pain inside him.
“I’m just going to get you some food,” answered Jin.
Yamapi let go of his arm and was left alone.
Nice going Yamapi! Now, he’s madder than before!
Jin couldn’t concentrate on getting what he wanted to give Yamapi. He got the food that he had prepared earlier and came back to the room.
