Let me start out by saying that the concerto went mangificently well.  Overall, it was a "sensational" performance on my part.  I felt great about it.  Only by the grace of God can I say that.  I truly believe playing the piano is a miracle.  Even after the hours I spend with it each day, I'm still fascinated with the mental capacity of the human ( Read more... )

So, this past week has been great.

Before Sunday, I was feeling horrible about the whole concerto thing.  I felt incompetent and as if winning the competition was a mistake.  That is a horrible feeling, especially if it has to do with the path you're about to send the rest of your life on.

My first rehearsal went really well... at least on my part.  The orchestra sucked, but that was to be expected.  I'm assuming it was their first run through (though maybe not).  There were a ton of absences (mostly their good violin players), which I'm assuming has to do with rehearsals not at LSU anymore ( Read more... )

Since school's started, I haven't had time to breathe (To add to it, I haven't had any time to exercise either, which makes it sort of hard to breathe...).
My life has been flooded with piano, flute, gigs, and school.  All of it I love, except for the school part, of course.
