So, the ABG's closure made the lame ass Daily Herald. Why isn't Atchafalya mentioned? They admitted to serving her between six and ten drinks there. She was only served three at ABG's. Grrrr...

God! That article is crap. Why don't they put in specifics and other places she had been drinking. IT is so slanted.

I know. The Daily Herald is a piece of shit rag. I emailed the writer of the article and asked him why the other bar wasn't mentioned or the fact that she was seen drinking in her car and had opitates in her system as well.

I don't think anyone would be offended. We can all tell a crappy piece of reporting when we see one. I feel like writing an editorial with all the real stuff but I'm sure they wouldn't publish it. Not that one little article of truth would help all the people that read the Daily Herald throw down their biases and wipe off the smug grins they probably have after reading this.

I talked to Ruth Driggs about this and she thinks that maybe Atchafalaya wasn't mentioned because they aren't closed yet? Whatever. This whole situation blows.

It doesn't even matter if Atchfalaya isn't closed yet. If the reporter had done his job thoroughly, he should have read the police report, which would have included the facts about opiates and the other bar's involvement. And if he couldn't obtain attribution and confirmation of ALL those facts from more than ONE source, the story should never have run! Because then it's just libel and heresay. In fact, if ABG's had a good lawyer, they could probably file a proper libel suit... GRRRRR.
