Birth Story

Oct 13, 2005 20:40

This is very, very long. You've been warned. It's more for me than anything else. As a labor nurse, I have imagined how my own labor and delivery would go for years. I hoped it would be everything I imagined, and it truly was. :)

It's hard to believe that one week ago, I was in the midst of labor...( My baby story )

That is SO sweet!

The back pain was the worst. How in the world did you remember so many details?? I'm impressed. Great story!
Thank you for sharing! Sounds like you had just the right people with you.
I'm so happy for you guys!!!

You know, I think because I had looked forward to this for so long, I wanted to remember all the details. And I wanted to write all this down before I forgot anything!

Yes, the back pain was the worst. Now I can totally sympathize when patients describe that pain.

I DID have just the right people with me. Perri, I feel so completely blessed. I tried really hard not to obsess over which midwife would be on (there are a couple in my practice that I don't love) or which nurse would end up taking care of me... But Brian and I always said, God has smiled on us and our relationship from the moment we met, I had a wonderful pregnancy, why would this be any different? And it wasn't. I felt so taken care of, in so many ways. The gratitude is huge right now! :)

Man, the best part of the story is the projectile poop on Brian's hand HAHAA!

Yeah, Cyndi, you might kind of need John for that! ;)

Oh my gosh, the look on Brian's face was priceless! You couldn't help but laugh.
