This is very, very long. You've been warned. It's more for me than anything else. As a labor nurse, I have imagined how my own labor and delivery would go for years. I hoped it would be everything I imagined, and it truly was. :)

Yes, the back pain was the worst. Now I can totally sympathize when patients describe that pain.
I DID have just the right people with me. Perri, I feel so completely blessed. I tried really hard not to obsess over which midwife would be on (there are a couple in my practice that I don't love) or which nurse would end up taking care of me... But Brian and I always said, God has smiled on us and our relationship from the moment we met, I had a wonderful pregnancy, why would this be any different? And it wasn't. I felt so taken care of, in so many ways. The gratitude is huge right now! :)
