A good day.
At the risk of tempting fate today has gone quite well - got up late-ish and then helped Lauren sort out the shed, made a couple of trips to the tip and had lunch at the local garden centre and very nice it was too. After that came home had an ice-cream and then mowed the lawn with Laurens help. Finished the afternoon up by sorting my car out, ( Read more... ) -

Bah humbug - we had a phone call from the letting agency today wanting to do an inspection next week and the two dates they've suggested they can do are both times lauren and I aren't going to be here ( Read more... ) -

The end of the Bob
Bob the Triops died today. I may have only had him as a pet for a short time (about 50 days) and he did die of old age but he was awesome. Bob has been buried in the garden in a little cardboard coffin.
RIP Bob the Triops. -

Musicals and the best of dreams...
I finally got around to watching Dr Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog and holy hell it's *awesome*. If you haven't seen it being a late adopter like me, it was a web show created by Joss Whedon during the writers strike starring Dr Horrible and his attempt to get the girl and incidentally get into the Evil League of Evil and oh yeah rule the world. Physio
Got back from my first physio appointment a short while ago which was interesting - turns out the main cause of my limp is due to my ankle not having been set correctly during surgery with the result that my foot is about 10 degrees out from where it should rest. It looks like I might well have this limp (to an extent) ad infinitum because of it ( Read more... ) -
Graduation Day
Last weekend was by any stretch of the imagination an exciting time, it started out with mum and dad meeting up with Lauren and myself before we headed off down to Reading. Now the trip to Reading was fine but driving around Reading is an absolute arse mostly due to a virtual complete lack of decent signage in the town although it must be said that ( Read more... )
