Unfortunately, the NY State Senate went on to vote against the bill. And yet, I can't help but think this speech will resurface as the issue progresses with time.

Today the California Supreme Court upheld the passage of Prop 8. It's difficult for a court to justifiably overturn a decision of the voters, democracy and all that, but, I'm still shocked and chagrined that a majority of voters in California actually voted to take away the rights of gay couples to marry ( Read more... )
