I just reread the David Eddings Ellenium series. I had to skip some of the scenes in the third book (The Sapphire Rose) because the author would rather not have written them, but they were necessary for plot points, but he showed his resentment through the painfully flowery descriptions and wooden dialogue

The next series was written. It was worse. You're better off reading the Belgariad and Malloreon, and then rereading them, rather than finishing this series even once.

Nope. Didn't like it one bit.
