I went to Amazon and checked on the Tal...something-or-other by David Eddings. The online review basically said, "This is the fourth time that David Eddings has written the same story. And it's not improving with age

Oooh, wow! It probably hasn't been that short since, like, we lived together! 8 inches is a lot! If I cut 8 inches of my hair I'd have... hmmm, where's that ruler?... approximately less than none. I couldn't find the rules, but my hair is longer than a 3x5 index card but shorter than the short side of an 8.5x10 piece of paper. How's that for scientific measurement?

It's shorter than it has been in a while. Straight, it's about down to the middle of my back (nine or 10 inches). I don't really want to guess how short that would be curly, but I will find out when I wash it....
