Today's the last day of the semester.
I have to work on Sunday.
I have to come in at nine on Monday and Tuesday.
My house still isn't clean.
Packing and shopping haven't even started.

So, it's a sad story where I couldn't tell you exactly who is taking advantage of whom, but my parents are using frequent flier miles they're apparently drowning in to bring me to the States for Christmastime this year. I mean, I shower every day, but it had been at least two weeks since a bath. I feel so much better....so very much better. I cleaned the house this weekend--it's not completely finished, but it's back to livable levels. I get paid in seven days, and will probably go out this coming weekend to celebrate.....or maybe just go see Inglorious ( Read more... )

Gorgeous weather post-typhoon--the storm broke here yesterday around noon, and while that violent energy in the air was lovely, now everything is all washed out. Yesterday, whatever. It's all about today. Payday. Finally, I get a full month's salary! If I can, I'd like to go see if I can get approved for shopping credit, but that may not happen until the weekend. I doubt I'll pass the credit check, but I want to at least try. I woke up stupid late today.....and got to work late as a result. Not late as in class started without me, late as in I was only 10 minutes early. No big deal, I'll just write in on my timecard instead of letting it go through the anachronistic punch machine. Yamada rejected me for "shopping credit," and I won't have the cash to put down on a tv until January or February. My stress levels would go down quite a bit if I could play video games when I got home. This is all very frustrating.
