So, I guess I didnt realize this would end up as such, but be prepared for a bit of a rant.  I've been doing a lot of thinking the past few months about where I want to be, and why California doesnt seem to be working for me. Sometimes people challenging me on the issue and forcing me to explain myself goes a long way to getting me to understand my ( Read more... )

wowee. i didn't have any desire to live in SF before, but now i definitely don't. blech. i wonder if you would find portland different or not. i've heard that people here are a lot more "action" as opposed to talk, but i'm not sure how true that is. the animal rights people certainly are, but i don't know about the human rights people.

I live here and I agree with you whole heartedly on fran san, ive gotten those same feelings everytime ive been up there. Not your style at all.

I am looking forward to seeing you again in another part of the country, doing your thing. You were very subdued when i visited. Plus I'm going to need a lawyer friend down the road so yer my guy when i get in trouble with the FCC or insult some organization and they sue me.

Yeah, you're right. Chicago WOULD be a better place to live.

Heh, I have no doubt about that, actually. I got a good impression from chicago last time I was up there. It would be nice if I could figure out a way of living there, it's where I'd most like to be.

I guess we'll see where law schools point me, Chicago-Kent is still in the top 3: if you werent there it would be decidedly 3rd place behind Boston College and George Washington... I'd still have to take GU if I get it (but I prolly wont- thanks Japanese class) so with you in Chicago then BU and CK are pretty much tied... CK has a good rep within chicago, and would probably tie me there but BU has a good rep across the country, and would give me more options so we'll see.

Great rant, thanks for taking the time to put it together. This sort of thing goes on in Bloomington sometimes, on a smaller scale.

Meh, well I work in SF and live in Berkeley so that would pretty much explain why I end up where I do. You are the only person that I know who still lives in Oakland but I think the last time I saw you was when Obama was elected, so needless to say I havent been there in some time.

And I've never done any sort of yoga thing so I dont know much about that, but I'm up for giving it a shot. Heh, wouldnt have thought of you as a yoga instructor, but I can see it
