My leg is killing me. So on my trip I was playing beach volleyball and dove for a loose ball (success!). Unfortunately underneath the sand was a couple of rocks that chewed up my shin pretty good (ten inches or so). So UW just informed me I've been accepted for their PhD program. I'm still waiting on a couple schools, but at least there's an option if I do want to stay here (keep my place, keep my friends, date this girl).. so the last two days have been beautiful but I haven't really done much about it (most of my friends were out of town or lame, plus I wasn't in the greatest of moods). So I'm going for a walk. I need a list of all the fun things to do in Seattle. Shouldn't be that long right?

So before my tulane tour I'm supposed to mention a few areas of interest. As for a career, mathematical biology seems most promising, though I have interests in combinatorics and acoustics (I've become more anal about good quality sound reproduction). You suck. So I find a flight cheaper there than Expedia or Orbitz and then get to a screen where it asks for hotel stuff (which I don't need). I say no, then it doubles the price of my flight. I go back and say yes, and it comes out a little cheaper than the flight alone. WHAT? fuck you.

With such a beautiful weekend, I wanted my new lens to play with last week. So after getting the 2 day air shipping from B&H photo, I tracked the package all the way to Seattle for delivery this past Friday. It said "destination" rather than "out for delivery". I just installed some more RAM in my laptop, so my need to buy a powerbook has been postponed. If I do go off to Europe I'm tempted to buy a bigger harddrive and install that, but I could always just burn the extra photos to CD and hope they don't get scratched. My new lens gets in tomorrow, I hope the weather cooperates so I can go play.
