if you've taken the fung wah bus to visit me in boston, which you definitely have, then you've been to connecticut ;)

ok, but see, the thing is, i thought about that, and really the most i have ever done in connecticut is hang around a truck stop for about 10-15 minutes at a time = not really "visiting" a place. so i decided it didn't count. y'know?

you seem to have it in for the north/south states, but not the "new" ones.

also, has anyone ever wondered why it's not east AND west virginia? hmmm.

the reason that it's not east & west virginia is because west virginia split off from virginia in the civil war because virginia wanted to be a slave state & west virginia wanted to be a "free" state. you can ask me these things cuz i'm "from there" :)

i know. i'm from there, too. i guess virginia was just hoity-toity enough to be, like, "we're not gonna change our name, no matter what YOU do."

i just think it's odd. are there any other examples in the world of states/provinces/countries with that imbalance? i can't think of any.

i have driven through, but not really stopped at all. cdp says that i saw "south of the border", and that you would know what that meant. what does that mean?

south of the border is one of those highway tourist traps in south carolina--the kind that have signs advertising it from 100s of miles away.

it's tacky, well advertised, and a bit of a let-down, kind of like south carolina.

ps: i miss you!
