My eight to five has taken a somber turn. There's still levity, though it be mostly gallows humor. We massed in the Board Room yesterday to show our protest to the layoffs. Still, they voted to send notices to all of the staff that layoffs would occur in sixty day's time. On top of that, the news says that traffic at the airport is down twenty ( Read more... )

I voted!

I was kind of confused though, I was like "didn't we already have a primary?" Tried to research the candidates listed but the election website was really hard to navigate :P Did my best. Hope I didn't accidentally vote for any evil people.

Awesome! What I recall is that late last year the California legislature voted to have a early primary for the purpose of voting for the democratic and republican nominees. It cost California tens of millions of dollars, I believe. I'm not so sure why we had to have the second (normal) one, though.

Remember Anne Frank, after all that, she still believed that people were basically good. Besides, I'm a strong believer that it's because we have such a low opinion of politicians that we have such bad politicians. We need to expect more.
