A month ago C. gave birth to a 7 lb. 14 oz. baby boy. He got himself stuck in the birth canal and for a few minutes the doctor was not able to record a heartbeat. I am thankful that I can take time off to bond with my child, even before the child is born. In truth I need this time and C. wants me home for this period of interminable waiting.
