Brief return from the dead. . .
I am thinking seriously about restarting this journal (although I have said that before, to little success), but I am now active on Twitter (http://twitter.com/volubly_terse). Somehow Twitter is so much less of a commitment than livejournal. . .

Graduation Summation

After a rambling paragraph or two on our final paper, in which he details Eliot's contention that "No poet, no artist of any art, has his complete meaning alone", my English professor - the awesomely crazy one with long-ish dark hair speckled with grey - writes: "Just make sure you say something significant."
Great. No pressure there.

For the life of me, I can't seem to spell "soliloquy" correctly
It is sad that I have to rely on Microsoft Word to tell me if I'm right or not.
Off to finish the Shakespeare paper (Hamlet and Cymbeline), and then . . . to relax, perhaps? What a novel idea. -

Hitchcock, how I missed thee
It has been about 5 years since my classic movie obsession gave way to other obsessions (no, I am not going to name them). In the ensuing time, I have seen perhaps four Hitchcock films (most recent of which being Rear Window, which, while it isn't my favorite, has Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart, so I can overlook the embarassing parts rather easily ( Read more... )
