Oh my god!!! I went to my mom's house last night. I started crying as soon as I pulled in to the neighborhood. A lot of people were driving around gawking at the damage, and with all the crews parked on the sides of the roads, it was really hard to navigate the roads. So Chrissy, Troy, Charlie, and I walked around the n'hood to see the damage

Wow. That's so horrific. =( I hate tornadoes, GA is suppose to be better than OK. I am noticing that all the tornadoes are hitting around my home town in OK & moving here. =( I am so glad to hear no one was seriously hurt!

I'm glad no one was hurt. I emailed my mother yesterday telling her I was fine. She said she had been concerned about me after seeing the news. She couldn't call me though because she is deaf.

The most I had to do was, thankfully, sweep my patio. In fact I didn't even have branches down in my yard. What a contrast!

I can't even begin to explain how emotional this was for me. I spent 21 years of my life in the n'hood. So, I watched most of these trees grow up.

I spent the better part of tues night and weds morning calling friends to make sure that they and their families were ok.

Mom's n'hood and the one right next to hers are considered the two hardest hit as far as property damage is concerned. There was not one house in the n'hood that didn't have at least one tree down. It is still just so surreal

no hun... thank you for offering... everyone is fine and seem to have a wonderful disposition about the whole ordeal... that is all that i can ask for... i just need to come to grips with this being a natural part of the cycle of life and how much of a bitch that mother nature can be ;-P
