That is fabulous! What kind of yarn did you use?

And aw, cute sock. I WILL try sock knitting one day. (Although it is more likely to be stocking knitting - I have a pattern for 1940s fishnets!)

I used 2 balls of Sirdar Firefly. It's a really simple pattern it's only time consuming because of the slidy yarn. They have all the shades here

Yes, it's called 'Sirdar Firefly' and it's a laddered fashion yarn.
i like knitting with it ALOT. It also gives a 'jewelled' look when you knit it with another yarn.
