Kinect Thoughts

Secretly I've always felt that I missed the whole Wii bandwagon. But I couldn't justify buying a whole new system because I knew I'd only really play Wii sports. Four years later, enter Kinect for the 360.

Definitely has that fun social vibe. Half the fun is watching other people play.

I agree with that. Right now there aren't too many games to play. I can totally see where they can take this sort of tech. I was very impressed with the fitness one. It measured my height, leg/arm lenghts, muscle mass and was almost bang on (4lbs off) predicting my weight with the data. Felt like I was in Startrek. Lol

I think it's really difficult for dev studios to get funds developing for launch products. Look at playstation eye. It was a pretty cool tech back in the day but barely got support. Nobody wants to invest in anything unless it's a sure thing anymore. Even though the Wii is super popular how many memorable 3rd party games are on it after 4 years? A handful at best.

Ah Sega, I miss them so. I still think the closing of hardware development was the first nail on the coffin.
