Bleah. :/

Well, in college once I had a friend who was a born-again Christian. He was super mega hardcore Christian (but not in a negative way... he was a cool guy.) He said he was raised without any religion at all and discovered it in high school. I asked him if he wished he had been baptized as a baby, and he said no, it was much more exciting for him to discover it on his own. So there you go. :)

Thanks for the encouragement :)
We'll raise him well and hopefully he'll find something that he can follow.

Well, do your own religious beliefs require Liam to be baptised now, or even in the medium-term future? If not, let it happen later.

It's best when they're young because the program is integrated into the school system. Basically if he doesn't get baptized he can't attend the Catholic school. I guess if it doesn't happen now, he can pursue any religion on his own once he gets older.

I don't know I just feel kind of betrayed by the people running the church. It's mostly because the priest we spent the most time with who knew us for 10+ years, performed our marriage and baptized my nephew retired.
