The plan is to work one muscle group per day until failure. Which is a good start as time is at a premium. This way I get some form of strength maintenance on a daily basis. Cardio is a challenge as I need a lot of room to jump around. Can't make too much noise because Liam would be sleeping.

Been so busy we didn't even notice. We've just been spending a lot more time with Liam. Didn't think he'd need more supervision than before but he does. So Julie and I have just been tag-teaming him. His teeth has finally come in. He sprouted two seemingly overnight. We thought he's been teething for months. He's a late bloomer in that department.

Liam's crawl speed doubled over night. Can't even spare a moment to look away or grab a camera. By the time it took me to get one ready, he had cleared four feet, pulled himself up on a shelf and bang his head on the sliding glass. And I thought my reactions were fast enough to catch him. One thing I like about fatherhood is that Christmas is a big deal again. Felt like this Christmas snuck up on us though. I didn't even put out the lights and our tree was partially decorated until two weeks ago. We'll make it up next year when Liam can appreciate it more.

Liam has outgrown his infant car seat - graduating to the step two. He enjoys this one better because he can see out the window. Julie clocked him in at 18 lbs last week. Yesterday, I gave him his third haircut.

The beard was itchy as hell and it bothered me all day yesterday. Decided to trim it back and shape it a little bit. I've been Googling East Asian beard images and matching my face shape to a style. It's become a bit of an obsession really.

Finally found some manly exercises on personal training mode. It defaulted to toning for me and my thighs started hating me after the fourth day. Now I'm doing the arms and shoulders with 10lbs weights.

I have to make a mental note to look in the mirror once I get to work. Dressing in the dark is challenging enough. Now that I have facial hair, I feel that there is even a finer line trying to pass off business casual. I think the guys at the security desk are starting to wonder if I really work in the building.

I'm pretty late in the event, but a colleague of mine convinced me to stop shaving for moral support. Ran it by the wife and she's up for the grand experiment of seeing me with some facial hair.
