I have this nagging idea that I am going to have an 80s themed 35th bday party in a couple of weeks. It'd be pretty cheap to make sangria and some cream puffs and have people bring their favorite 80s dish

It'd be also funny/cool to have a party where people come dressed in whatever fashion was going on when *they* were 15. Depending on the range of ages of your guests, you might end up with cool outfits. Then you could have a contest to guess the year they're trying to recreate!

That's a great idea and I will use it. But for this party, I really want ppl to wear bad fashion and obnoxious make up :D

I think I am a bit bitter about turning 35 so I want to torture ppl with the 80s :)

But I think the come dressed as your decade would make for an atypical xmas party :)

oh goodness. The very young cashier at hot topic (i needed shoe laces) kept using the word rad as she was checking me out. It took a lot out of focus for me not to giggle everytime.
