I have it because it is a convenient medium in which to write and try out different stylistic techniques. Also, it lets me tell people what I'm up to and lets me keep up with their lives as well.

this is late but i'm bored and add.

what live journal means to me. an essay by liz isenberg.
livejournal is the shit. it feeds my ego when i'm feeling down. i can read about my friends and comment in their journals which is cool because i hate aim and other forms of communcations. if you don't feel like responding to someone you can just be oh i didn't check my lj yet, sorry (which is never true, because i check lj ALL THE TIME OH MY GOD THE ADDICTION). also when i'm sad i'm too lazy to hand write things i can just be all sad and type sloppy and pretend i'm being artsy by not capitalizing. also the rating communities are the shit. i like to look at pictures of pretty hipsters. finally, i stalk people on lj and try to find hidden meaning in the entries. i can look up hampshire people i see from afar and read their dirty secrets. it's quite voyeuristic but i'm nasty like that.
