I am agonizing over what to read next. I have way too many books and I am on choice overload. Help ( Read more... )

I am not a fan of Shaara. Life's too short to relive the Civil War in the same amount of time it took to fight it.

I have no particular suggestions for your next book, and I can't quite figure out your system for choosing. Perhaps I'm being particularly dense tonight. (grin)

hahaha- I thought I would like his work. Not too sure anymore. I don't hate it but I'd like for the characters to have more than arthritis.

I can't choose. That's my problem. Just give me a random name and a random word. Srsly.

How's that for random?

you've just chosen a Simon R. Green for me. Thanks. I will have to scan the shelves for a title with the word Rip.

Name: Lyra
Word: Jellyfish

I like listening to Neil Gaiman and I like reading Tamora Pierce. My shelves contain a lot of Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffery & Charles DeLint also, so those could certainly be considered my favorite authors. :D At the least, I recommend almost anything written by them!

some of my favorite authors are Patricia Kennealy-Morrison, Suzette Haden Elgin, Rita Mae Brown, Tanya Huff, Margaret George, and Starhawk. There are lots more, though, LOL!

I love Sneaky Pie Brown's mysteries. I have not read anything by any of the others. I will have to give them all a look.

If you like the Sneaky Pie books, give her fox hunting books a look as well. No fox has to die in these books, hee...and they enjoy the chase as much as the hunters. Good characterization, good story-telling, good books...

Hill and King, I have a few of each of theirs. Middlesex and Life of Pi I have. (am I pitiful or what?) I'll read just about anything. I love a good biography. Carolly Erickson makes history come alive. You have suggestions??
