The thing about the cats is that I'm such a hermit I don't have anyone in my neighborhood to care for them. They are both elderly and require medicine with their food twice a day. I could easily be gone for a month or more at a time, so it's much more of a commitment than I want to ask of my friends. I'm checking into pet sitters now.

I love living alone, but sometimes it would be awfully convenient to have a roommate. ;-)
