Life is a terminal condition

Artemis, dearest friend of my life, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. General nausea and indefineable pain after eating led eventually to a CT scan on September 5, which showed a 4x5-cm mass on her pancreas. It was not operable. Six weeks later (last Friday), a biopsy was finally done. The results confirmed adenocarcinoma, with metastases

Thank you all for your love and support. The appointment with my oncologist this morning was very good. I'll try to post a full update on my own LJ tomorrow. The best part was my onc's view of me as young and healthy and active with no other preexisting health problems. Meaning I came into this in great shape -- and that will be a big plus in my survival. And that it's important to see myself that way
