We try to choose people that seem like they would be a good fit. So far we have "chosen wisely" as the film goes. We have just had one person take some sort of odd offense to being added (which we take as inviting people into the discussion. If they don't want to be involved, they just don't have to add back). That one person behaved in a psycho-way (I later checked the age and realized they were very young and probably at that time in life when drama is fun and a part of daily life. That's not something we want in the slightest. So I just deleted their comment (to save our readers from any negativity) and they kept coming at us with different accounts. Geesh!! We just wanted to meet some hip people and talk about groovy films. Dat's all. Lol ( ... )

I shall endeavour to be More Interesting from now in, in that case. ;) My LJ fluctuates between daily posting and long hiatuses and (as you probably noticed) its contents also vary in interestingness depending on my mood and what Real Life throws at me.

But, in any event, I look forward to hopefully participating in some discussions in future. :)

Naw, just be yourself. Everybody is interesting in their own unique way (especially our 'chosen ones', or so we feel). You know what we find interesting? The little old man at the corner shop who's always so deep in thought that it looks like he walked in from another place in time. Or that kid that always draws his stick figures with 6 limbs for some unknown reason. Or that 41 year old mother that claims the night light is for her children but it's really because she is secretly afraid of being alone in the dark. A million amazing people who are beautiful in billions of tiny ways. We just wanna reach out a hand to whatever small percentage we can and say "Hello! How's life going for you? I've had some shitty times but it's getting better. How about you? Seen any good movies? How are you today?"

Even if the answer is "I haven't done a thing all damn day", that would be fine because it's the truth and that's all we ask for. Truth or creative story-telling. We'll take either one ;)

thanks for adding me to your community. I've had a bad month in my life, so I'm just getting back to my Live Journal and catching up on emails and stuff. so I apologize for the late answer. I love film, and i used to host a daily actor community here on LJ a long time ago. I quit doing it when people lost interest. so it's fun to join film discussion again.

Oh Honey, I just had to add you. You and I had ALOT in common but as soon as I noticed the 'Edie' thread that binds us, I added you.

My, my. You know those kids who never get picked for sports teams in school? Yeah, that was me, and now I sort of feel like one of those kids who DID get picked for sports teams in school, only it's better because screw softball, it's much better to be appreciated for my obviously superior mind.
