I think the episode is called "Thirty Minutes over Tokyo." I can't find it on YouTube, but basically the Simpsons visit Tokyo, lose all their money in typical Simpsons fashion, and work in a fish-slaughtering factory to earn passage home. All the fish look just like on the can.
The episode features one of my favorite bit characters in the Simpsons canon: the Japanese toilet. I kid you not.
Sigh! Wonderful ethnic food. We have a little bit here, certainly more than they had when I moved here 17 years ago (a burrito with barbecue sauce is NOT Mexican!). But we could use so much more. Send food!
NOM, I can't remember the last time I ate food. Looks GOOD!!!!!
I do remember having some Lao (Laotian?) food once, and it was really good too. I mostly remember rolling rice into little balls and dipping in something.
I'm not a foodie at all, and pretty ignorant. But I would love it if wonderful food magically appeared before me.
You need that smiling fish!!! At least as an icon.
In my rambles in Gloucester today I found an Azorean restaurant. That will be next! But it would be better if you guys were with me, to tell me what's what and if it measures up.

I know your pain. I grew up in New Hampshire, which is whitebread and mayo. Better than it was, but...

I love the Smiling Fish! Even though he looks wary. :-D You're right, it should be an icon!

Actually I do eat food. It's just not very memorable, that's all.
I'd be wary if I'd been fried in chili sauce too. It's a mercy you didn't take him home. He would have freaked out with the trauma.
