And I thought public health had a lot of abbreviations...

Sep 25, 2008 14:57

I started work yesterday around 7:00 a.m. Since then I have learned: MRICU, SICU, BICU, NSICU, CICU, IICU, VAP, VSDU, CLABSI, VRE, CABG, ESBL, EVD, ASC, PM&R, TBIP, ORIF, HICPAC, CSEP, LCBI, SUTI,CAUTI,DI, CLIP, SSI, PPP, and AUR.

If my head explodes, little Alpha-Bit types of things will come raining down.

Well, we don't have a NICU - we call it the IICU. So as to not get it confused with the NSICU.

And I don't know any people yet except the security guard stationed right outside of my department and the computer trainers. lol

The only ones I knew were CABG & SSI, assuming your SSI means the same as mine, that is (Supplemental Security Income).
