I am broadly in favour of them. Their film made me CRY though because the Olympics are NEARLY HERE and waaaaaaaaah.

unfortunately he (are they even gendered?) is not named for the pub* but for Much Wenlock where Baron de Coubertin nicked the idea of the olympics from.

i like 'em!

*which, BY THE WAY, appears to possibly be FOR SALE!!!

yes yes and Mandeville is named after the original paralympics not the hospital, what of it.

Steve, c'mon, we've been through this before - we can't buy a pub that's already good, where would the heartwarming-tv-docusoap joy be in that?

I have definitely come down on the side of the STEEL GONKS. And the video is so industrial heartland ftw (apparently it is meant to be set in Bolton which tbh PERPLEXES ME). I made the very same phone charm comment! These things are why (amongst others) I cannot get an iphone - nowhere for DANGLYBOBS.

(Ahem I'm still using my Vancouver 2010 mascots tho'...)

i guess there is of course the further option of putting phone charms on things that are not phones e.g. bags, wallets, your ears...

you will teach them the joys of not doing sport! (except that which involves being in a pub)

Surely Mandeville is named after the FICTIONAL TRAVELLER (plz not to tell me if this is false)

this is what I thought of first, then assumed no-one else would recognise the reference?

i apologise for ever doubting you
