jack didn't die. for the title to remain correct, he ended up in a hosptial and during the last few scenes, he's in bed in one of those gowns, eating jello and saying, "this is so fucking lame."

That upside down shot of Rinzlerbby and Sam facing off is my favourite frame of the movie. Like, I will have that on my wall one day.
