In JP it would be 'jyoushi', with the same etymology/meaning.

Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if I do find one like that.

Of course, the lack of any pronunciation guide and a complete lack of tone markings ensure that Americans who seek to learn Chinese in this fashion will still be lauged at if they try to use it anyway =P
