If ever you have a dream where you look out your window into the apartment next to you and see three little aliens, one of which has a santa hat on his head, sitting at a table celebrating x-mas and carving a turkey - that's a good time to wake up.

So on friday I got a harried call from Mom - the phone company had come out and moved her phone line. She is moving the sign company (www.watsekasign.com) to a new place. It was my birthday saturday. We went up to Chicago for the air and water show, pictures to come. Kelly's apartment is in a great spot for it. Several times planes flew right over us. Well, everything was yesterday, so we're ready to take off. Err... getting ready anyway. Let us just say we spent a lot of time with her family. Which is okay - they were really nice. Quite religious but not overly preachily so. Had some seafood. Didn't have enough to drink. Still dehydrated. Waiting to go ( Read more... )

We're in NC. Left yesterday morning at a little before 8. We made decent time - the box is a great trip car. We had a nice cooler packed with all kinds of drinkies and stopped all the time to stretch our legs. Got lunch in Louisville yesterday. It's nice that both of us are willing to just get out and walk around to find something. ( Read more... )
