The days had been so much better for Fabien then they once were. Over the five months since that fateful Friday evening. He had gone from a quivering mound of weeping and compromised judgment to a man who was much more sure of himself and of what he wanted in life. Granted he had to cut so many losses to get to the point he was now, but the guidance counselor felt they were all for the best. He needed to remove the influence of Trevor out of his life to understand himself better. The process worked swimmingly.

He was just leaving Teacher's Lounge, having finished his lunch break, and was contemplating these same facts. For one of the few times in his life Fabien felt everything was going to be all right, and then he opened the door into the counselor's waiting room and saw Trevor pacing. "Merde," the Frenchman thought to himself, this is what he deserved for giving his assistant the day off ( ... )

Trevor stopped his pacing when the older man came up to him. He took his thumbnail out of his mouth, hiding both hands behind his back. The boy was obviously nervous and a bit angry. Here stood the man who kissed him, who made him feel alive, yet made him feel guilty.

"I have to talk to you." Trevor started, trying to sound as strong as possible. Yet his voice still sounded weak.

The former spy looked at Trevor and then looked over at the door to his office. In his opinion there was no way that boy was going into his office, not after what happened last time. Fabien had decided, that was not going to happen and would do anything necessary to make sure it didn't.

"That certainly has been the phrase of the day," Fabien quipped, "Only difference is you are not one of my students, so I suggest you go have a word with your actual counselor."

He dug into his blazer pocket to find the keys to his office, if talking wasn't going to help Fabien needed to know if he can acquire a quick entry to his office and lock the boy out.

Trevor went silent while Fabien looked for his keys. His slender hands balled up into fists. He literally felt like he was going to explode if he sat there in silence for a moment longer.

"WILL YOU STOP BLOODY IGNORING ME?!" Trevor's voice had never been that loud before. He quickly shut his mouth, unsure of what he was feeling at the moment. He was slightly embarrassed, but he was also just getting started.

"Please, just hear me out."
