I had a picture of the bruise,taken with my old pre-digital camera. The quality was poor, so I just pitched it.

O.o. i guess that zebra could tell you were holding out on him. i'm not surprised they are considered aggressive. have you ever seen on one of those wildlife shows where the zebras band together to keep the lion from taking one of the babies? it is impressive.

thanks for sharing all those photos. i especially loved the baby barbary thingies, and the sicilian donkeys. (i am half sicilian, after all.)

My only recollection of zebras from nature shows is as the entrees the lions are snacking on. It makes sense that zebras become aggressive if provoked... and hungry, too. ;)
