Right, I've been given the dubious task of booking the Christmas meal for our team at work.  'Right' I thought, 'Zizzi's will do!'  Naturally, I assumed that there would be something for everyone on the menu when I looked at it.  I booked it and sent round an email to everyone expecting exclaimations of joy!

But no...

Oh christmas bloody partys. Nightmare. Total nightmares. I hate them.....

I think that sending round a set of menu's first is a good idea - because then if people whine you can say "sorry - but it was the most popular choice".

Yeah, I did ask for places/things people wanted to avoid and Zizzi's seemed to be ok, until yesterday when Ermintrude threw a strop. Nevermind, it's only 1 out of 14 that isn't coming so far and 10 definates, me ftw! :D

Yep, that's the attitude I'm taking and I'm feeling pretty good about it tbh! I told Ermintrude that she can join us for drinks first before we eat, muhahahaaaa!

Our department one is going to be at the Living Room. They do bog standard Christmas turkey & trimmings and that's what we said we wanted.

Oh, and in order to decide on the Living Room, an email was sent out giving 4 options and the one with the most votes won.

Yeah, I sent round an email asking for preferences. The only things that came back were for nothing too cheesy and nothing Japanese. I checked with Zizzi's to see if all their dishes could be done sans cheese and they said yes so that's why I booked it.

Apparently, the lad that organised it last year had an even worse time, so I'm not doing too badly :p

Yep, I know the feeling! It's not too bad though, the meal is at 2pm, so I'd be at work with them anyway, may aswell spend it in a slightly merry haze ;)
