I didn't think I was going to feel very directly affected by the VT shootings, but today I did. I was talking to a friend earlier today in the music school, about music, and someone came and asked if he was feeling better. I thought perhaps he had been sick or something... no, he lost a friend at VT. Also, the shooter was in his HS graduating ( Read more... )

About the VT incident: I was shocked for multiple reasons (including the fact that everyone I know who has gone to tech has been extremely happy there). I would think a high school student would be far more likely than a college student to perform such a horrific act. Also, every idiot (disturbed or not) goes to high school.
