So I randomly picked this time of year to think about which 2009 releases have impressed me thus far.  So far this year can be summed up by saying that it seems to be a year of "Clark's seduction by the female vocalist", the best prog-metal concept album since Dream Theater's "Scenes From a Memory", and the best DMB album since the late 90's.

Today was a day filled with sadness, fascination, fear, wonder, reflection, etc. all rolled into one.  Today we went to Dachau, the first of the many concentration camps built and used by the Nazis in WWII.  The camp is still there, but it now serves as a memorial, including a small museum providing information about the history of the Nazis, WWII ( Read more... )
