I'm back in NC after my 8th and final trip to Ohio in 2009.  Yes, 8 times.  That's nearly every six weeks.  In Ohio.  I'm not sure if it was the fact that I wasn't really feeling the holiday or what, but I really didn't enjoy traveling up there this time.  The drive was awful.  So much traffic.  It took me 9.5 hours to get home yesterday.  That's ( Read more... )

I love my new job! I start teaching tomorrow. Ask me if I feel the same after the quarter ends.

I got the job. I will soon be the Program Chair of Drafting and Design at ITT Tech here in Charlotte. Still waiting to hear on a start date, but HR decided to let me know that I've been selected.

I had a job interview.  It went well so I have my fingers crossed.  If i get it, the first thing I'm doing is having a spa day.  I need a mani/pedi and a massage.

So this weekend a bunch of homos marched on Washington and watched Judy Shepherd wave her son's death around like a miniature American flag (perhaps sparkler is a bridge too far...) yet again.

Though I agree with her message, we can do without the grief.  It's been 11 damn years.  Please grieve privately.

Also, all crimes are hate crimes.

Those of you that know me know I'm not much for hugging, but i got a hug last Friday that I've been feeling for days.  Hugs are always awkward for me.  Where do you put you hands?  For how long? etc.  But this hug was something else, let me tell you.  Unfortunately, he's off limits.
