Working out! :)

May 29, 2008 11:05

So this was the week to start back on my workout plan, Body for Life! I hurt my back 2 months ago and am just getting ready to go back to regular life.

I am taking it a bit easy so instead of serious cardio/running, I am walking hard instead. Here is what I have done this week, and I must say, I KICK ASS! :)

I am getting back into it, I am way too fat. Starting out by walking everyday. I won't be in top shape by CVG, but I should be more mobile.

Great, keep walking everyday. I want you at the next 50 CVGs so take care of yourself please.

50? I don't expect to make it 106, but thanks for the encouragement.

I just clicked the "Join this community" link and so I hope Dea adds me, I didn't see a spot to comment to her :)

That is great, I have joined a couple lj fitness communities but they usually go defunct in a year :( Sci-Fi women and fitness woot!

I've been walking regularly and quite long with the pooch, works out to about 7 hours a week in that 40-over-RHR zone. Losing weight, but it's slowed down. I need to start with a weight-training regimen.

Downside is the skinbag isn't going down with the weight loss, so I look like I'm melting. I know it's transitional, but it's a great way to feel ugly.

weight training will help you so much but it can be hard to start. You don't ride a bike do you? I thought I saw someone who looked like you on a bike but I didn't think you were up for that yet. Keep walking, i like you and want you to be healthy and sticking around for quite some time!

I hear you on the frustration with the "skin" keep your chin up all will get better soon :) so glad you are walking! I'd love to meet with you for a walk sometime if that is cool

Walk is cool. I'm generally leaving the house weekdays at 6:00, and I get back around 7:15 (unless it's raining or traffic has me late). Otherwise there'd have to be a walky event.

My body and I are doing okay. We're not so sure how the insides are doing (tomorrow should give me a clue) but the fitness part is improving rapidly. Since deciding I was going to attempt a triathlon, I have been exercising every day, running, swimming, biking, or a combination... the only frustrating part is that I haven't dropped any poundage yet. But I think that my body is getting a bit trimmer.

Are you on my triathlon filter? Do you want to be?

yes i would like to be, i thought you were going to filter only upon peoples objections, so I didn't object :) lol

of course you are getting healthier with all the work but yeah, sometimes it would be nice to see/feel results on the outside :) a triathalon, wow!
