Haha, it's Paola Prato, Ms. Prato. Yeah she teaches art history. She's the photography teacher. She was a core student herself back in her teenage years, but she doesn't do a great job filling that "core teacher" void that seems to exist now

One problem I have with CORE is that so many of the teachers are not into what they're teaching. They use their specialties as an excuse to be arrogant, except Anstead who actually cares that we learn something useful.
Coleman for example is just tastelessly arrogant.

There's even word though the teachers want out of Cleveland since all the changes in administration...Overall, I feel Core has turned from a unique learning community to another decent program with the "distinguished" badge on it...

What do you think?

That gave me the chills. Since I have no experience of past core years, I really could not say. While I can recall feeling as if I was receiving a (pretty) rich education before, I think you may be right. Although they seem to have giant egos, I love my core teachers this year almost more than life itself. So it breaks my heart to hear that. Without core Cleveland would not be so great at all.

But I agree with what you said about the teachers not being into what they are teaching. Posito used to teach SI but is now doing literature, Demail taught 9th grade english last year, Kravchak is a year overdue for retirement, Prato is a photography teacher. They all tend to be bitter at times. Sometimes I find myself feeling sad for them when instead I should be making outlines.

It's an interesting topic and I wonder what others' opinions are on this.

I went to go do some research on these questions since I wasn't sure myself. Coleman does still teach Art History, my friends have him, and they say he is hilarious. Well he teaches AP art history, if that is what you meant. But not AP art if that is not what you meant. And yes, his students do excellent.

Linn is still there this year, although I don't know what his plans are for next year. And Kravchak swears this is her last year even though that is what she said last year.

But core is still definitely going downhill which is unfortunate.
