Our heros find themselves in what might be a lush, forest-like area. A quick look about will tell them that they're not in Kansas anymore - although their feet are remaining firmly planted on the ground, they are sensing something pulling them upwards. Like, you know, maybe gravity. There is a dim red sun above them at high noon in the night sky ( Read more... )

Otto hasn't had a good day, and the evening's PINpoint scavenger hunt has only worsened his mood. By the time he reaches this next location on the list, he's cursing a blue streak and almost hoping that they'll find a tombstone marked "Here Lies That Fool, Li".

"..cking... oh. Great. We're on an alien world. This almost reminds me of the time I spent on the Beyonder's planet."

He glances around, waiting for Caleb to arrive.

Caleb poofs in moments afterwards, and frankly, he looks pissed too. He has been swearing nonstop too. It should be noted that neither of them has Tourettes'.

"Where the hell are we? Lowered gravity... hm." This is not the first time Caleb has dealt with such a thing, but that does not mean he likes it. Especially when not in a 'mech. He feels -naked- when not in the Nexus and not in a 'mech.

"Well... looks like we head towards those buildings there." With a shrug, he starts towards them, one hand on the vibrosword at all times.

'Those buildings over there are' not really state-of-the-art architecture. They're huts made out of mud and grass. Upon approaching closer, it seems that the inhabitants are ape-like mammilian beings with large eyes, adapted to seeing in the near-darkness. They will likely see Caleb and Ock before Ock and Caleb can see them.

Fortunately, they don't look openly hostile and a lot of them seem to be children. A few of the stronger and older beings may creep up to investigate the travelers if they approach too closely.

"...probably do not speak anything we do, I suppose. Worth a try, though." He looks as if he is about to say something, and then stops.

"Do we even know what we are looking for? I mean, Rei could be in at least three different forms now. We ask them about Li, quiaff?"
