According to one of my students: "Stephanie was always available for outside help and her office hours were helpful in composing my essays and warmed my soul with a sense of general ease. It was like opening my first present on Christmas morning, except with more emphasis upon Catholic blasphemy and man’s inherent sinfulness."

Unusual movie recommendation: Ink

This is an unusual movie recommendation in that, up front, I will admit that the film has poor to mediocre acting and a lack-luster script which is at times actively bad. I really liked it anyway. ( Read more... )

Movie: "Milk"

I just got back from seeing Milk-it was like being thrown into the washing machine: I emerged wet, dizzy & wrung out, but somehow feeling cleansed. It was a very well-made film, with an Oscar-worthy performance by Sean Penn. I cried during the opening credits, which contain historical photos.
