Time flys on third shift. Only reason I'm updating is cause somebody (don't know who) suggested I do so. What have I been up to? Working mostly. Mortage definitely! lauramanderson March 1 2006, 21:50:45 UTC
Just because you sign in to a 30 year mortage doesn't mean you have to stay there. I bought my first condo in November of 2004, I sold it that following september (10 months later) because I was moving in with my husband, and I made 10,000 from the deal! Now this is FL and the real estate here is a fabulous investment. I am not sure how PA is. But I made 10,000 in 10 months free and clear because I decided on a mortage. That would not have happened had I rented. My monthly payment was 500 dollars and then i had homeowners fees that were 200. So all together I was paying 700 per month. So if you think about it, basically I was being paid, in the end, 300 dollars a month to live there. (if you figure the equity in the house was about 1000 per month.) I definitely recommend buying a house/condo instead of renting. Good luck!
