We have finally arrived home. We got stuck in Newark, NJ overnight because our plane from Shanghai was late which means we missed out connecting flight from NJ to Tampa. But we are home and Mom is here and she is being amazing. Yay Mom! I hope to be a Mom as good as the one I have ( Read more... )

Thanks to New Years holiday, we get our paperwork early which means we can go home early, except there are no flights. :( Bummer.

Julia had her doctor's appointment today and she was a perfect angel. Even better, the doctor said her palate was just fine!! Yay! We also got her Visa picture taken in the buiilding next door. Afterwards, we stopped by the Starbucks and it was exactly the same as home, both the interior and drinks ( Read more... )

We had a very good bedtime experience last night. Julia barely napped so when I laid her down on our bed around 8:30, she was out like a light. She has soooo much energy during the day. Today we toured a Buddhist Temple, a fine arts museum, and shopped, shopped, shopped! They asked us if we wanted to do a Buddhist Blessing on the baby but we passed. Another couple did it and we watched. There was a lot of chanting and banging on a shell of some sort of coconut shell by a Monk and then they bowed 3 times to Buddha. That was ( Read more... )

We are in total heaven here! The room is smaller, but it has a better crib and most important IT HAS A/C!!!!! The room smells cleaner and it is less noisy outside. Chongqing has horns honking every second of every hour here is nice and quiet on the Pearl River. We are both feeling much better and things are looking up ( Read more... )

Thank God it has finally come; our final destination! Tomorrow we leave at 10:30am for Guangzhou. This is the final stop of the trip and we have an appt with the American consulate to receive Julia's Visa to enter the America. We will be there until Jan 1 and then we fly home! Yay! Today we had the swearing ceremony and our family picture for the certificate. We cannot tell you all how incredibly blessed we feel that Fu Le Nan chose us to be her parents.
