Now that's a story I would like to read. Tempting.

I'll second wanting to read more of that story.

When I come to a chapter I have trouble writing, I usually work ahead. I would suggest working on the dialog that you're sure of and then working on the transition as ideas come to you. It's different with everyone, but I usually end up changing things that I thought I needed in the transition as I work on the stuff I'm sure of.

Good luck!

For me, aside from just slogging through, what works is finding a little moment I can insert into the chapter. Some of them have become my favorites after doing so. Specifically, finding something that has nothing to do with the plot that you can spice up in some way.

If they're sitting waiting for something, they could talk about a book you like or think is vaguely relevant to the story, or they could play a card game. If they're walking, they could see something unusual that sparks a conversation or a moment.

Something like that. Something that will bring your (and therefore the reader's) attention back to the story at hand, rather than the future chapters.

Believe me, it happens to me all the time. It's no fun. But it is possible to get past these sorts of blocks. :)

Ah, such a good question to ask, I thought it was simply me who had that kind of trouble. I am currently working on my first ever chaptered fic and I have the same problem as you describe quite often. I often act out scenes that are more interesting that what I am currently writing or have to write, simply because I know that it's where it's going. What I do to be sure to finish the scenes that may not seem all that interesting is that I put on some music that I think suits the mood of the scene and then closing my eyes to play the entire scene out in my head. I picture everything from the surroundings to what the characters involved will say to each other, how they will interact as a whole. When I have done this I often feel inspired enough to write it down. It often differs just a little from what I imagined when starting, but in the end it turns out well and I can feel satisfied with it.

Was that of any help?

The amount of chaptered stories I write can be counted on one hand, for the reason you posted above. But I AM in the middle of a chaptered story (and am on the fence about beginning to post it.) I'd say: skip this chapter and write the part that WANTS to be written. In time, you'll come back and finish this part. Unless, of course, you're posting it as you write it, then... that suggestion is quite moot.
