I always knew my gender was incorrect and I made the decision to wait over twenty years before beginning medical transition. When I was about your age (I was 18-19) I passed 100% as male in the days you could get a job and such without showing ID. That aint possible anymore so... I lived as a masculine female for many years, dressing up in skirts and lipstick for work until about 10 years ago when I one day showed up at work in pants and I never wore a skirt again. For many years I wore male like female clothes, I work in a professional setting. Then about eight years ago I threw away all my female underwear (I wore hanes with a wide waistband) and switched to male underwear, I also started wearing t'shirts under my shirts. Five years ago I got rid of all my female clothing and started wearing all male clothing. I always wore extremely short hair and about three years ago I started shaving it

Thank you, that is very good advice. I am and will be working on trying things out and seeing what it takes to make me feel more comfortable and like myself. Maybe pushing the gender boundaries a little, nothing drastic yet. I think just doing a lot of thinking and having everything sink in and progress slowly at a comfortable pace is definitely the way to go. Aside from voice and chest I could pass now. I wish I had admitted this to myself more at 18 or 19, but it is reassuring to know that you waited much longer and still transitioned successfully. That's great that things have worked out well for you.
If you don't mind my asking, why did you finally decide to start testosterone after waiting so long? (As in, why now?)
